John can do this having learned what it takes to successfully sell a business by selling his own training and development business in 2006. John went on to coach other business owners to do the same. John also operated as a Business Broker for 5 years and then returned to his passion of mentoring business owners, facilitating workshops and running business skills seminars. Previously, John took a global path of progression in the computer and information technology industry for 27 years in engineering, customer service, sales and management roles. John lived and worked in The Netherlands on contract to the European Space Agency, spent time in Cape Canaveral U.S.A. on a space launch program, lived in West Germany and emigrated to Australia with Burroughs Computers / Unisys in 1986.
Through his exposure to some of the world’s leading information technology companies, John has been a high achiever in sales, customer service and management.
John started his own training and development business in January 1997 as a licensee for Leadership Management Australia (LMA). Today, John is an experienced business person, business consultant, qualified facilitator and trainer, public speaker and ‘business ready for sale‘ coach.
Clients have included; The TOLL Group, Western Power, Optus World, The Capricorn Society, Boom Logistics, Onesteel, Salmat, Austim, Mitchell Corporation, PumpNSeal and many small and medium sized businesses.
John was the President of The Stirling Business Association from 1998 to 2000 and Chairman of the group responsible for building and starting up the very successful business incubator in the Stirling Regional Business Centre, Balcatta, in the City Of Stirling, Western Australia. John was also the president of the Wanneroo Business Association from 2011 to 2013 and is still very active in the small business community.
John is a graduate of the National Speakers Association – Professional Speakers Academy and a qualified workplace trainer and assessor.
In August 2006 John sold the training business and after operating as a business broker for 5 years, now works mainly with business owners to prepare their business “ready for sale” or just create a commercial profitable enterprise that runs with the owner having to be there.
